    Nonlinear optical crystals can be used in wide range of optical applications including laser harmonic generations, frequency conversion (SFG, DFG), optical parametric generation and amplification (OPG, OPA), electro-optical Q-switching or electro-optical modulation.

    Various non-linear optical crystals with given standard sizes and orientations are available. The choice of crystal is complex. This choice depends of the application, transmission, damage threshold, and also of the non-linear process efficiency targeted.
